Community Relations Director

Nadia Moshirian Binderup serves the Sheriff's Department as the Community Relations Director. In this role, Nadia is the principal ambassador for the Sheriff's Department and serves as a conduit between the Sheriff's Department, community groups, and individuals.

Nadia began her career with the County of San Diego in 2010 where she served former Supervisor Pam Slater-Price's office as a Policy Aide. Nadia later joined the County's Office of Strategy and Intergovernmental Affairs where she advocated on behalf of the County on a wide-range of policy and legislative issues. In her previous position, prior to joining the Sheriff's Department, she served as a CAO Staff Officer for the Community Services Group Executive Office.

Nadia holds both a Master's and Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University and is a Public Administration Honor Society Inductee - Pi Alpha Alpha. Nadia also holds a California Credentialed County Senior Executive Certification from the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Institute for Excellence in County Government, and is a graduate of the CSAC Institute Fellows Program.
