- Shots fired at or by a Deputy Sheriff resulting in human injury

Cause of Death Determinations
In the County of San Diego, the Medical Examiner’s Office is the agency that rules on the manner or cause of certain deaths.

The Public Affairs/Media Relations office is the
liaison between the Office of the Sheriff, the media and the
public. The Public Affairs/Media Relations office receives
thousands of calls and requests annually for interviews, feature
articles, television show participation, statistical information
and community event participation. The office interacts daily
with television, radio and print media to ensure the most up to
date and reliable information is released to the public.
