Overview

The Training Division is located at the San Diego Regional Public Safety Institute on the campus of Miramar College.  This Division is responsible for providing timely and relevant training to Department employees in order to ensure job proficiency and safety awareness. The Division is broken down into several functional units, including the Regional Basic Academy, the Corrections Academy, In-Service Training and the Weapons Training Unit (Range).
