On March 5, 1934 the body of Tootsis Adams was discovered in the Mission Valley area of San Diego. She was reportedly murdered by two sailors from the U.S.S. Kane. Mrs. Adams was 25 years old and a Tijuana cafe entertainer. At the time, Mission Valley was considered a disserted area north of San Diego. Now it is a major hotel and shopping area and home of the Qualcom Stadium (home of the San Diego Chargers and Padres).
