  • Inmates are allowed 1 visit per day, 2 visits per week. The week begins Sunday and ends Saturday.
  • Inmate Workers are allowed 1 visit per day for each day of the week, as their work schedule permits.
  • Visits are offered on a first come, first serve basis.
  • A total of 3 visitors are allowed per visit - including children.
  • Visitors under the age of 18 years old are to be accompanies by a parent/legal guardian.
  • All visitors are to arrive together, 1 hour prior to the scheduled visit time to check in.
  • All visitors are to present approved, unexpired photo identification. High school age children are also required to present identification.
  • Visits are 30 minutes in length and scheduled visit times are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Visit will not be accepted for inmates scheduled for court on the same day.

    We strongly urge visitors to coordinate their visits with the inmates. This can be accomplished when the inmate telephones you or through U.S. mail correspondence.

    ·        Take 5 SOUTH or Interstate 805 SOUTH to highway 905 EAST

    ·        Turn LEFT on OTAY MESA ROAD (stay on paved road)

    ·        Turn LEFT on ALTA ROAD (AT THE STOP SIGN)

    ·        Pass DONOVAN PRISON, at the top of the hill, the jail is on the LEFT side of the parking lot.

    ·         Enter under the big canopy on the left side building.
