EAST MESA DETENTION FACILITY

The East Mesa Detention Facility is a medium security facility built in conjunction with the George F. Bailey Detention Facility. Originally intended to house Probation Department inmates, the facility is now better utilized by housing about 490 Sheriff's inmates. The facility is rated at 344 Board Of Corrections and 512 self rated capacities. Central laundry and food production for this and other facilities is coordinated with the use of inmate workers at this site through a growing Inmate Industries Program. Other Inmate Industry Programs here include print-shop skills, and others.
