The San Diego Sheriff's Department enforces all restraining orders in the County of San Diego.

Any person at least 18 years of age who is not a party to the action may serve restraining orders and orders after hearing. The original proof of service must be filed with the San Diego Superior Court.

Restraining order forms are only available in the Clerk's Office at any San Diego Superior Court location.

Once the restraining order is issued by the court, you may request that it be served by the Sheriff's Department. Please deliver a copy of the order to one of our Civil Offices.
