On January 16, 2010, in the early evening hours, officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to the 6700 block of Paseo Delicias in Rancho Santa Fe reference a vehicle in a ditch. Upon their arrival they located an unoccupied white 2008 Porsche Carrera at the bottom of a small ravine. An inspection of the vehicle was conducted and there was no evidence to believe the occupant or occupants were injured. Therefore, the vehicle was towed as an abandon vehicle. The next morning, the residents of 6792 Paseo Delicias located a deceased male on their driveway over a hundred yards away from the crash scene. CHP officers and deputy sheriffs responded to the scene. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office took possession of the body and an autopsy was conducted indicating injuries consistent with a homicide and not as a result of a traffic collision. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Homicide Detail took over the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
