NCFVPC provides centralized services in North San Diego County for domestic violence victims. Victims can walk through the door and receive information on local counseling services, shelter programs, and other community services throughout the county. The Center has bilingual advocates (English-Spanish) who can help them work on a customized safety plan. They can receive assistance with a restraining order or other legal needs by utilizing the on-site services of a volunteer lawyer. Victims can also talk with an on-site Sheriff's DV Detective if needed who is specifically tasked with enforcement of restraining orders. The Center also offers computer access to the Internet and a customized Website-of-Safety computer program, which has the ability to aid victims needing a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO). (In the future, there may be the ability for filing restraining orders via direct remote access to the San Diego Courts).
