Services - Law Enforcement Functions

27 Resident Deputy Sheriffs are assigned to the Rural Law Enforcement (RLE) Division. They are responsible for working all facets of law enforcement services to the citizens residing within the Division. Their duties include patrol, preliminary investigations, follow-up investigations, crime prevention, public relations and education services. All 27 deputies are assigned individual Ford Expedition 4 x 4 patrol vehicles and are available on a 24-hour call out basis to respond to radio calls.
