Services - Detective Functions

RLE has two area investigators assigned to the Division. One is assigned to the Julian substation and handles cases within the northern portion, while the other is assigned to the Pine Valley substation, handling cases within the southern portion of the Division. While the resident patrol deputy handles preliminary follow-ups on cases, the detectives are assigned cases that are comprehensive and require extensive follow-up. They also liaison with the District Attorney's office, and focus on specialized investigations such as auto theft and juvenile crimes.
