Records & Identification Division
Providing Quality Service to the
Public and to Law Enforcement Agencies


Staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the Sheriff's Records and Identification Division provides professional support and service to the law enforcement community and residents of San Diego County. The Division is staffed by 93 employees, and composed of four major sections: the Booking Section is responsible for processing all arrest/booking records; the Cal-ID Section is responsible for the identification of in-custody inmates; the Cases Section is responsible for the maintenance and data entry of all Sheriff's crime and arrest reports; and the Warrants Section is responsible for maintaining a county-wide repository of warrants and temporary restraining orders.
