The San Diego Sheriff's Department Child Abuse Unit is a centralized investigative unit that handles all reports of child abuse within the County of San Diego. They primarily investigate cases of physical and sexual abuse against children under the age of (14) years of age. They work closely with Children's Services Bureau and local advocacy groups to protect the children of San Diego County. The unit consists of (1) Lieutenant, (2) Sergeants, (2) professional administrative staff and (8) investigators.
