The San Diego County Sheriff's Department Central Investigations Division provides law enforcement support services to all residents of the unincorporated areas and contract cities in San Diego County. The division consists of three Details (Central Operations, Homicide, and Family Protection). We exist to support all Sheriff Stations and Substations by providing investigative resources and community oriented policing programs to all our citizens.

The Central Operations Detail consists of investigative units responsible for the following areas:

• Financial Crimes
• Elder Abuse
• CATCH

The Family Protection Detail consists of investigative units responsible for these areas:

• Domestic Violence Unit - Investigates cases of domestic violence.
• Sex Offender Management Unit - Regional sex offender registration and enforcement team.
• Child Abuse Unit - Investigates all cases of child sexual and physical abuse.
• SDICAC - San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children
