Q: How do I access the Megan's Law Pin Map for San Diego County?

To view the Sex Offender pin map for San Diego County, link to http://www.sdsheriff.net. From that site you can view the sex offender pin map. Details of the actual offender (name and address) are NOT available from the pin map.

Q: How can I view Megan's Law information about sex offenders living in my community?

If you wish to investigate a sex offender further you must visit a Sheriff's Station and be granted access to the Megan's Law Web Application. To view this information you must:

• be at least 18 years of age;
• provide a valid California driver's license or California identification card;
• sign a statement that you are not a registered sex offender; that you understand the purpose of the release of information is for the public to protect themselves and their children from sex offenders; and that it is illegal to use the information to harass, discriminate or commit a crime against any registrant;
• you may be required to state a distinct purpose for viewing the information, if required by local law enforcement
